A developer sells lots of land in increments of 3/4 acre. If the developer has 60 acres , how many lots can be sold?

I believe this is basically just asking, how many 3/4 increments are in 60. If this is the case then we simply divide 60 by 3/4. We change this division problem to a multiplication problem by taking the reciprocal of 3/4 which is 4/3. Then we multiply 60 times 4/3. This gives us 240/3 which simplifies to 80. Thus 80 lots can be sold.
