how would i write an equation in slope-intercept form for....."vertical and passes through (-4,-2)?

If your line is vertical, then the x-coordinate never changes. Since your line passes through (-4,-2), you further know what that x-value is. As only the points where x=-4 are on this line, that is the equation of the line: "x=-4"
