as discussed in your previous question, there really is no easy way to crack a gmail.

there are many algorithms for cracking passwords, the most common of which is "brute force" which means trying popular combinations of keywords at a ridiculously fast speed. the problem is gmail suspects this and will disable an account if there are too many failed login attempts.

needless to say, it's probably not something you or any friends have the ability and computer power to do so yet. if you're interested in stuff like this, take a look at the field of cryptography. it's all about security from hackers/crackers.

there are many sites mentioning about e-mail hacking. If u are not an expert with computers , the possible way is trying with probabilities of passwords(what can he/she put as password names, pet's names, birthday, schoolnames, favourite game name, mother's , father's, siblings name , favourite cars, phone numbers, PASSWORD as password,123 as password etc. i haven't tried any because of backfiring...... I have got an old file on gmail hacking attaching it here.hope it works .I didn't try it as I thought it will put my account at risk. guessing is the easy way

If cracking gmail account is easier none would be using gmail.You can't fool server you have to fool your friend.

This is almost comparable to cracking WPA2, near impossible :). Also Google has some of the best security people in the industry.....so, with that said - good luck!

If you're talking in technical sense, its as good as impossible to "crack" a gmail account. However, there are some simple principles that can be used (rather say misused) to get the details of the account in question.

1. Man-in-the-middle Attack
Read more about ARP Poisoning and how you can capture packets being sent over a network. Remember, the packets you capture from the traffic to gmail will be encrypted, so you may need a good application to crack the password. Again, if the password is 9 or more characters or a good combination, this WILL Fail.

2. Spoofing attacks / Social Engineering
You can claim to be a genuine source (sarcasm) or provide a good offer, or scare the user trying to make him provide his gmail account details on his own. For eg. A mail from some source claiming that he requires gmail user/pass for further transactions and so on. (Many people are still n00bs at detecting social engineering attacks, which is why facebook is so full of spam)

3. Stealing cookies - you may need to write a script for it, mostly works with yahoo, not sure about gmail. But, a modern browser with internet security may catch this. Also, requires that a user has ticked "remember me" option on gmail.

All in all, you can only catch the account details "outside" of the gmail servers. Though nothing is impossible, the above methods usually work with small cases.
