We want the numb ers on one side, and the letters on the other. So, to get the z alone.. We need to get rid of the -3 in the denominator. To do this, we will multiply it by -3 at the numerator, this will make them cancel. And what we do to one side, we must do to another. 2/7 * -3 = z*(-3)/(-3) so 2*(-3)/7 = z -6/7 = z
