It looks like e but the final answer would be interesting -- 3 could be true we know all actors are male but really we don't know that actors are considered artists in this system but if you assumed that they were if males were only actors it would still be true that some artists are males and they all just happen to be actors. 1 as mentioned we don't have any definition that actors are considered artists - they could be technicians for all we know 2 singers are artists and some artists are male but nothing says that any of the males is a singer...could be true; could be false 4 no singers are male...this is the opposite of two all the males could be actors (since all the actors are male) so we don't know if any of them are anything other than actors we can't say that any of them are singers at least thats how I see it

I use Venn-diagram to solve problems of syllogism. Hope this works for you as well. My version of the solution is attached herewith. P.S.: For basic concepts of Venn-diagram, refer to any High School textbook of mathematics.

I went the Venn diagram road too ---but I still maintain that we don't know that actors are considered artists so the two circles could be totally separate...but I will have to concede on further consideration that all assumes some.
