question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is the question and the area is about

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wht do we need to find in this ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Divide the octagon into eight isosceles triangles. Then use trigonometry to find the area of each triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area of each triangle is 36*sqrt(2) or 50.91 sq.units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i use the law of sines setting or not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thts optional ( i guess) . It doesn't help neways. The shortest solution is by using the area formula AREA=0.5*12*12*sin(45) and then multiply by 8.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 407.29 and can i round it or not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the problem says then u can round it to the no. of significant digits.
