The line with a slope of -10/3 is perpendicular to a line with a slope of 0.3 Is this true or false? I guessed false..second opinion?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you rewrite .3 as a fraction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uh, no, I guess not..:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

.3 is 3 tenths is 3/10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And since the negative reciprocal of -10/3 is 3/10 they are perpendicular.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is true as the product of the slope of any two given lines produces 1, then the given lines are perpendicular

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean produces -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks.

0.3=3/10 ┴ -10/3
