re-write it with x & y on the same side: 5x-4y=-4 5x-4y=-20 if you subtract second eq from the first youll have: 0=16 which is not true, so - there is not solution :)

you can graph each equation separately, but lines are not intersect; intersection of two lines = solution; you don't have one so - you graph = two parallel lines
