Does Millos reagent contain starch? can it be used to test for starch?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Millon's reagent does not contain starch. It reacts with all phenolic compounds so it detects presence of aromatic amino acids in a solution. This reaction is used to detect proteins in a solution but is not considered very ideal one. to detect starch in a solution most commonly iodine is used which gives blue colour when added.
