Just distribute then simplify.. \[(u + 5v)(7u - 5v + 4)\]\[=(u+5v)(7u) + (u+5v)(-5v) + (u+5v)(4)\]

Just like you would if it were a number out in front of the parenthesis.

distribute u to each number in (7c-5v+4) and then do same thing with the 5v and lastly combine like terms
