does anyone know how to round to significant figures?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Significant figures are the first non zero figures in a number. Example the follwing numbers are rounded to 3 sf 217 is 220 (round as you would for decimal places but keep the important zero place holder. 23.4 is 23 as the 4 does not round up 0.00216 is 0.0022 again rounding at the end but the first zeros are important place holders
