Do you say "in the forums" or "on the forums"?

in the forums

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On the or in the ...depends how you are saying it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now I'm confused... Can you explain your answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You should tell us the complete sentence, in which you are using your options.

OpenStudy (preetha):

I agree with x3pufflix3. It depends on the context. For example, "The student posted a great comment in the forums for Asian students." and "There was a great posting on the forums for Asian students on Gandhi."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sth like this: "Here, on (in) the forums (...)" or like this: "-Where can you find it? - On (In) the forums!" or... "It was posted somewhere in (on) the forums".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on the forums..

OpenStudy (matthewrlee):

It depends. If "the forums" is a neighborhood or an apartment complex then when you visit people who live there you are "in the forums." If is it an online community forum, you read posts "on the forum." Be specific in your questions so others can be specific in their answers.
