simplify (0.93^6)(0.93^-8)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.93^6-8=0.93^-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

using positive exponents sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Using the exponential law \[a ^{m} x a ^{n} = a ^{m+n }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take the negative exponent and write it in the denominator as a positive. Giving. 0.93^6/0.93^8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u get 0.93^6+(-8) this gives 0.93^-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

From Harkirat's step you rewrite that in the denominator which gives 1/0.93^2. It has to be positive for her problem :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This can be finally written as 1/ 0.93^2
