what is 1/2 *ap the formula for?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
1/2 apothem perimeter
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so thats the area of a pentagon.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
how do you find the apothem? the perimeter is 25. what is the apothem?
OpenStudy (dumbcow):
volume is area of pentagon times height
pentagon can split into 5 triangles
area of triangle is 1/2*base*height
base of triangle is 3
height is 1.5tan(54)
AreaTriangle = 3.097
AreaPentagon = 3.097*5 = 15.48
volume = 15.48*7 = 108.39
