can anyone explain to me about the working of a mobile while its moving

The signal from the tower follows the mobile, when the mobile moves. The signal traces the mobile and so the mobile network continues to be. Whereas, in cases where the network switches from one station to another, a process called 'handoff/handover' takes place.

the coveage of the mobile is called the cell. in theorically we assume it to be hexagonal.And each hexagone is allocated a some specific coverage areas.when the mobile moves from one cell to another cell .then mobile no and the other specifications of the mobile user is sent from one cell to another cell....this process of transferig the covrage area from one cell to another is called handoff...this just the basic idea....there r different types of hang off in the moving of the system.......
