Use complete sentences to explain how you would use graphing technology to find the solutions of 0 = 2x^2 − 3x + 0.5. What do the solutions of 0 = 2x^2 − 3x + 0.5 represent on the graph of the equation? i really need help with this
Hoot! You just asked your first question! Hang tight while I find people to answer it for you. You can thank people who give you good answers by clicking the 'Good Answer' button on the right!
Plot the function f(x), where \[f(x) = 2x^2 − 3x + 0.5\] The solutions will be the points where the graph touches the x-axis.
i still don"t understand
I've attached an image of the graph of the function. The solutions are the points where it touches the horizontal line. Which part do you not understand?
The thing is that i have to write it in words
Are you using a specific kind of graphing software in class, or are you allowed to use whatever you like?
We aren't using software. The class that i am in is a online course .
Have a look at this link, it might help you get an idea of how you could write it up: http://www.purplemath.com/modules/solvquad5.htm
thank you so much
