how would u find an area with all these numbers 12.8 ft 3.1 ft 5.8 ft and 18. 4 ft?
I assume you're talking about a question which is describing a non-square area? Maybe something shaped like this... ___________________ | | | ______ | | | | | |____________| you need to divide this shape into other, smaller, shapes that you can calculate the areas for, then add them together. So for this example, calculate the area of the "main" area, then add the area of the "nook"
yes but turn up
Yea okay, I'm going to just use the diagram above you should be able to apply the same principals to your own. 10ft ___________________ | nook | 2ft 8 ft | _______| | main | 3ft | area | B |___________| A Then we know the length of side A is 7 ft, because we can see the top side is 10ft, and the depth of the nook is 3ft, so side A is 10ft - 3ft = 7ft. I hope this is clear so far. Then the dimensions of the main area we can see are 7ft x 8ft = 56 ft squared. And the dimensions of the nook are 3ft x 2ft = 6ft squared. So the total area is 56 + 6 = 62 ft squared. Obviously these calculations are for the dimensions I made up, but your calculations should be somewhat similar in form.
Is it clear?
yes thanx
