The rise of the slope is defined by (-x, 2y) and by extending this to the y-axis you can see it cuts at y=7 The gradient from the first definition of the slope rise is -1/2 Hence the slope is found as in your question but you have all the information now to label the line algebraically y = -1/2x + 7 or 1/2x + y - 7 = 0

Sorry it is very early here. The slope is y/x so 2/-1 or -2 the equation therefore is y = 7 -2x
