I have an exponential function (I think) f(x)=34e^.221, where the "e" is an italicized, lower-case, e. the answer I keep getting is the problem itself. HELP!
Hoot! You just asked your first question! Hang tight while I find people to answer it for you. You can thank people who give you good answers by clicking the 'Good Answer' button on the right!
do you have to evaluate this?
yup
42.41
are you using a calculator?
pen and paper :(
i can't find any x in the RHS... then its no more a function of x... Its just a constant... Pls recheck ur question...
so how do u expect to evaluate this?
u have logarithm tables or anything?
sorry, should have posted it as f(x)=34e^((.013)(x)) x=17
good...
same thing anyway
uve got a log table moogbutt?
nope
u need a calculator
Do you know about logarithms?
I don't have one. I went to a site, PurpleMath.com, and used a tool there, but the solution comes back as f(17)=34e^.221
Not comfortable with log, no
do u know what e means?
guessing exponent?
its called the euler number, and its value is 2.7181..so use that 34 x (2.7181)^(0.221)
Thank you so very much! never would have known that without your help!
no problem
