I think having a method of flagging users for inappropriate remarks or questions might be useful. Just yesterday in math there were students who were posting irrelevant content in the question area. This pushes legitimate questions down the queue and is unfair to those seeking help.

Yes, part of the issue here is that so many people are on math that it makes sense to ask even off-topic questions there for a user looking for help.

Still, there is a `report abuse' button under every question and reply that you can use. That will let the moderators know about the issue. We're usually a little more lenient about off-topic questions if they're getting answered, though.
