Create a Euler diagram to determine whether the syllogism is valid or invalid. Submit your Euler diagram and solution to the Dropbox. All grocery stores are open until 10 p.m. The store on the corner is open until 10 p.m. The store on the corner is a grocery store

grocery stores are a subset of all stores, and are all open until 10pm, but there are stores that are not grocery stores that may be open until 10pm. This is invalid

ok how would i make the Euler Diagram?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I drew a large circle that is the set of all stores. Then a smaller circle inside of it that is the set of grocery stores. Then I drew a circle inside of the stores and bigger than grocery stores that represents stores open until 10pm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so grocery stores is contained in stores and open until 10pm, and stores is the largest set. There are some stores open until 10pm that are not grocery stores

Thank you.. :)
