How do you find the number of solutions of each equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x^2 + 3 = -6x and 3x = 1 + 2x^2 Do you use the quadratic formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the number of solutions depend on the power/index of the variable in the polynomial linear equation has max 1 solution as max index of variable is 1 quadratic equation as max 2 solutions as max index of variable is 2 cubic equatrion has max 3 solutions and so on....
