Write an equation of the line that passes through the point (0,3) and whose slope is 2? Can you guys help? PLEASE. sORRy about me asking A LOT of questions

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

Do you know slope-intercept form? You have both pieces of information.

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

y = mx + b m = slope b = y intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

what are you confused about? a question mark doesn't really tell me anything. slope intercept is a form for linear equations.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK so would it be like : y=2x+3?

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

yep :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so that would be the answer?

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

yep. the is the equation of a line (hence "linear"). it is just a mathematical function. you input an x and get a y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok THANKS!
