what is directrix ?

the directrix has to do witha parabola. A parabola is a plane curve with the property that each of its points is equidistant from a given fixed point and a given fixed line. The fixed point is called the line and the fixed line is called the directrix

@LagrangeSon678 So far as i know, ellipse and hyperbola too have directrix!
