can anyone solve this puzzle " 2 identical trains, at the equator starts to travel around the earth in opposite directions . They start together run at same speed and are on different tracks. Which train will wear out its wheel threads first?

the train going west-ward .
OpenStudy (anonymous):
the one going west-ward . this is because,earth is rotating in west-to-east direction and the point of contact on the wheels rotate in east-to-west direction.hence greater wear and tear :)
