a fourier series decomposes any periodic function or periodic signal into the sum of a set of simple oscillating functions, namely sines and cosines.
does that help?
any examples please?
like if a have a complicated oscillatory function, i can use it to decompose the complex one into simpler sine/cosine functions?
yes. you would have to manipulate the sin/cos but it would work
