Well since you are doing engineering, and maybe therefore programming microcontrollers, a good course might be assembly language. Have a look around at which type of assembly you want to use, e.g. NASM, MASM, TASM etc., NASM is becoming more widely used, but MASM still has a big following, particularly since a 32-bit version compiler was created.
