6a+12=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2=a

OpenStudy (angela210793):

Does 6a+12=0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2=a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did either of you come up with that? Do you just plug in any number?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

6a=-12 a=-12/6=-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would 6=-2? I'm sorry I am really bad at math. Do not understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait never mind it is -12 divided by 6 right?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

first u subtract 12 from both parts of the eq. 6a+12-12=0-12 6a=-12 then u divide with 6 a=-12/6 a=-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok, thank you so much! That makes sense now!!

OpenStudy (angela210793):

Ur welcome :)
