what is the vertex and x intercept of y=(x-3)(x-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-2,3)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x-intercept=3 and vertex=(3,0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm not sure of the intercept, i guess it'll be 0...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah brackett. Its y=(x-3)^2. Multiplicity of 2. Means it touches. The only way that can happen is for it to be at the vertex (for a parabola). So the intercept and the vertex are the same point.

x=3
