I hate word problems, so anyone that can help me out, TY!! The length of a singles tennis court is 24 ft more than twice the width. The area of the tennis court is 2106 ft^2. Find the length and width of the court. Would the formula be 2106=(2w-24)*w or am I completely way off?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it'll be (w)*(2w+24)=2106

Ok then I work it out to solve for the width. I should be able to figure out the length from that point on or is there a differen formula for finding the length?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(w)*(2w+24)=2106
