?

-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what i got; last time I got it wrong and said DNE,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this function \[\frac{|x|}{x}\] is the same as saying \[f(x)=-1 \] if x < 0 and \[f(x)=1\] if x > 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, that would bet the limit as x goes to 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since the limit is 1 from the right and -1 from the left. but here the limit is as x -> -6. so it is just -1

thanks!
