Decide whether the statement is always, sometimes, or never true. A square is a parallelogram, a rhombus, and a rectangle. 1) Always 2) Sometimes 3) Never

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Always

OpenStudy (anonymous):

never

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which is it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

care to explain PJW_largo why it's always? as i see it paralelogram doesn't have it's all side equal lenght.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe I'm right :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so A parallelogram is a shape with two pairs of parallel sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is the only criteria

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Always

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A rhombus has 4 equal sides, not necessarily with equal angles but in the case of a square they are all equal angles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and a rectangle is a shape with four sides, again a square

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a square is always a parallelogram, but a parallelogram is not always a square.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but paralelogram doesn't have it's all side equal. since rhombus does. and rectange has 3 side.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

similarly the square satisfies the other two criteria

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the criteria for a parallelogram is that opposite sides be parallel and equal. which is satisfied by a square.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what I thought a rectangle had 4 sides, and a parallelogram can have sides equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the criteria for a rhombus is that opposite sides be parallel and ALL sides be the same, again satisfied by a square. the criteria for a rectangle is that opposite sides be parallel, equal and the angle between the sides be 90 degrees, again satisfied by a square.
