-live from anorganic food and water
-able to produce organic material from anorganic material
-energy: sunlight / oxidation of anorganic material
=> mostly plants
heterotrophs:
-live from organic food and water
-can just transform organic material
-energy: organic material (food)
=>mostly animals, humans etc

1.autotrophs can preapare their own food using solar energy, co2, h2o and chlorophyll. while heterotrophs depends on autotrophs 4 dere nutrition. 2. autotrophs occupies first trophic level in food chain always bt heterotrophs occupies 2nd level.. eg for autotrophs are plants and cyanobacteria.. eg for heterotrophs are all animals including humans..
