what is equal to 5(x-1)/(x+1)(x-1) when x is NOT equal to 1 or -1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5/(x+1), the point wy they gav x=1,-1 is i)it doesn't belong to the domain first ii)besides wen x=1, u getto cancel 0/0 and replace it by 1 which is wrong...dats the reason for the conditions :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean x != 1, -1 *

OpenStudy (anonymous):

? understood gblover?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no. Is the answer 5/x+1? 5/x-1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or 5(x-1)/(x+1)(x-1)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or 5/(x-1)(x+1)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ,post the actual question,and i'll say if the answer is 5/(x+1)(x-1) or...all the other stuff.
