Does anyone know anything about "linear programming". I have been looking into doing optimisation as an elective but have heard it involves linear programming, is this like equations programming, or computer programming, because I dont really like computer programming. Also , if anyone could tell me some applications or if they think subjects like "Dynamical Systems and Chaos" or "Partial Differential Equations" would be interesting electives if the so called "linear programming" is just a fancy name for algebra then I am good, but I am not the best with computer programming and coding
linear programming is basically programming inequalities. if you have an inequality, first plot the graph of the inequality as an equation, by changing the sign to an "=". then take two points on either side of the straight line graph. substitute these values in the inequality, and observe for which side the inequality applies to.
