This is not a compiund senteence because there are multiple short sentences instead of one compound, good and complex sentence.

I suggest you change it too... it was already 3:00pm and i hadn't even started to think about what i was going to bake for the party.

yeah... maybe you can change it to what sweat4life suggested. However, the sentence that sweat4life gave is not just a compound sentence but more like compound-complex sentence.
