does the pythagorean theorem work only on right angle triangles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[a^2 + b^2 = c^2\] Only works if the lines for a and b are orthogonal to each other.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the pythag is a special form of c^2 = a^2 +b^2 - 2ab cos(C) where C = 90 degrees

OpenStudy (angela210793):
