the measure of each exterior angle of a regular octagon is?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

360/8 = central angle; 180-central angle ---------------- gives you your base angles 2 180-base angle = umm.... filler stuff? 2 fillers and 2 bases = exterior

OpenStudy (amistre64):

360.. if i did it right

OpenStudy (amistre64):

that cant be right lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

follow the first 2 steps amistre told you, and u'll get 45

OpenStudy (amistre64):

360/8 = 45 180 -45 ---- 135 , thats part of it right there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea and so 180-135=45 :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

67.5 ------ 2|135 12 15 14 10 10 180.0 - 67.5 ------- 112.5 ... maybe

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i see where I did it wrong

OpenStudy (amistre64):

180 - 135 = filler .... 180 135 ---- 45 = filler; *2 = 90; +135 = ext. 135 90 ---- 225 = ext angle

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i spose an easier calculation is: 360 -(180 - (360/#sides)) 360 -180 +(360/#sides) 180 + (360/#sides)
