Find the Volume of a hemisphere with a diameter of 17 cm. Use pi = 3.14 and round to the nearest hundredth. I need someone to show me how to actually do this (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4/3 pi r^3 is for sphere for hemisphere, it would be : 1/2(4/3 pi r^3)=4/6 pi r^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok lemme try this lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remember you are given diameter(twice the radius)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so now i am at 4/6 *3.14* 8.5^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soo i got 1285.5683333 and i have to round to the nearest hundreth so the answer would be 1285.6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

careful with the rounding, 'nearest hundreth' means round to two digits

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh duh lol 1285.57?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes
