(12p + 7q)(-2p + 7q)?? answer?!

OpenStudy (moongazer):

use the "FOIL" method first, outer, inner, last first thing you have to do is multiply the first (12p + 7q)(-2p + 7q) (12p)(-2p) -24p^2 then (12p)(7q) 84pq then (7q)(-2p) -14pq lastly 49q^2 =-24p^2+84pq-14pq+49q^2 simplify -24p^2+70pq+49q^2 and that is the answer hope you understand it :)
