True that there is a black hole in the center of our universe?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is may be........ I think no one has discovered or postulated where is the center of universe is . there are lot of blakholes and one may be there in the centre.........

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this says that universe doesn't even have a center tooo.........

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In the center of the universe I do not know, but at the center of the galaxy is almost certain that there is a massive black hole

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The universe is not the type of thing to have a center ... if you are imagining like a sphere expanding, this is not quite right ... it is the type of thing where standing on any object will produce a view like a sphere expanding around you ... so "center" as a concept might not be a good way to think about the universe...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the motion of galaxies point towards the presence of a massive black hole at the center of our(are there others?)universe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@george7: The motion of the universe suggest the opposite. Edwin Hubble observed that the universe is expanding in all directions - from all points (like giant781 said, there is no 'center' of universe. It was later found that the universe is expanding at a faster rate day by day. If anything, the universe will probably expand into oblivion. And as for super-massive black holes, most big galaxies have one at their center. Milky way galaxy is also believed to have one at the center. Proof is available for it.
