how do I find the date an article was written

just surf the net.

Most of the time the date should be on the header by the author's name. Sometimes when the date is not listed you can see or get a clue of when the article was written by reading the URL of a website, if it's an internet article of course. You could also search the article in another website where it might have the date of publication.
