Given the histogram below, create a grouped frequency distribution Please i already attached histrogram and I aso confused I've go over instructions many times!!! PleasPlease someone help!!!!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the histogram you provided is nomial; its hard to say what they want from it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have to do a frequency distribution and can't figure out how!!!!!

have to do a frequency distribution and can't figure out how!!!!!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

it looks like the counts are 3,5,5,2,10,4,7,1 the range here is from 1 to 10; so we need to divvy it up into suitable classes: say into 5 classes how many times? 1-2 | 2 3-4 | 2 5-6 | 2 7-8 | 1 9-10 | 1

OpenStudy (amistre64):

a freq distribution just tells you how often it happens; and the classes give you what values occur

OpenStudy (amistre64):

so how many times does: a value between 1 and 2 occur? 2 times a value between 3 and 4 occur? 2 times a value between 5 and 6 occur? 2 times a value between 7 and 8 occur? 1 times a value between 9 and 10 occur? 1 times

OpenStudy (amistre64):

a 'relative' freq distribution tells us the percentage it happens; 2/8 2/8 2/8 1/8 1/8

OpenStudy (amistre64):

make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have tried I get the width as being 5 but I think the class is 4 but I can't figure out this frequency distribution chart Please someone help me please!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you dont need the width to be 5

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the width is from start to start; right?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

a width of 5 is: 3-7 8-12 13-17 etc

OpenStudy (amistre64):

your range is 10-1 = 9 .... right?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if you want 5 different classes; a width of 2 is fine 1-2 3-4 5-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the highest value was 10 and the lowest value was 1 then I think the number of classes is i think 10 if they are refering to the hours in the left side of the histrogram so i substracted 10 -1 = 9 and then 17/4 and then rounded up I am lost from there

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you really are making a mess of this simple task. you know that right?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

\[\begin{array}c&freq\ count\\---&-----\\1-2&2\\3-4&2\\5-6&2\\7-8&1\\9-10&1\end{array}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so do I list it like ike the hours on the left and the names or howmany did the certain hours
