IN the gift of the Magi, How would the story be different it were told from Jim's perspective rather than Della's? Why might O. Henry have chosen to tell the story from Della's perspective?

If told by Jim, the reader would understand Jim's thought process of sacrificing and selling his treasured heirloom (the watch) in order to buy the combs and surprise Della.
