y-4=(3/2)(x-7) y-4=(3/2)(4-7) y-4=(1.5)(-3) y-4+4=-1.5+4 y=2.5 2.5=3/2(4)+7

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

ok couple things first, the goal is to get an equation of a line in the form y=mx+b so you need a y and a x in the answer notice in the 2nd line you replaced the x with a 4, here x is just the variable leave it alone second, be careful when multiplying (1.5)(-3) = -4.5 not -1.5, you added instead of multiplied

i think that i see where i went wrong did not multiply

OpenStudy (anonymous):
