can you explain how economic growth and energy demand affect a certain country?

As the economy grows the demand for energy increases as a lot of new ventures(factories) are started. More people from rural ares/underdeveloped areas/countries will migrate in search of job opportunities and there will be crowding and increase in energy demand. People's living standard will go up and they demand more mechanization. More machines are brought into houses and this also will increase the demand for energy. this difference can be made out by comparing economies of America/Japan
etc with that of India(India is fast developing..so our energy demand is also increasing)or Somalia
