well i started learn PHP, but i see that PHP is not that good... ASP.NET is much more better i think. What you guys think about these? (discussion)

I do prefer django (it uses python) or any web development framework like grails (that uses groovy, an alternative to java for the JVM). They re based on very good software development practices

PHP is easiest to learn if you know c,c++.It will take time and you need to understand how wed works etc. . .It comes with practice.Django too is nice framework.Ap is statically typed and less secure and more people use PHP,but it is up to you todecide.If you say ASP is better Pls share the reason.

Ricardo. I think the language itself its not the answer you're looking for. The use of different languages, at least for me, its a personal choice question. You can't say PHP is better then ASP, or better then Java... its a matter of why and when to use the right tool. If you have a more sofisticated environment and a serious need of processing Java is a great tool, but for smaller applications PHP is the choice. The real deal is to know how to think, structure and even execute a good programming. KraceKumar is right PHP is a really easy learning language and after the OOP implementation it got a lot of nervs to face any other programming language. I don't like Microsoft technologies because of a freedom environment matter... but as I said its personal =). If you ask a lot of guys they will tell you Python is even better or Ruby on Rails. Again see the benefits of each one and decide for yourself the tool that fits better your needs.

well ASP.NET is much more better because u can use all the .NET platform here, and its much more coordinate then the PHP websites. Firstly everying is under a solution in an .aspx webpage. You can also use the strong and useful and %100 object oriented so that its much more better. You have to pay a little bit money but anyway its easier to develop more comlpicated websites with ASP.NET you can use many tools in here not only simple html tools... Anyway with ASP.NEt its easier to attend with HTML code... Maybe C# is harder to learn but after you practice, you will see its much more better...

well, its not hard to learn a programing language, if you got the basic, you will need only 2 or 3 days to learn a language... I know VB.NEt, C#, C++, C, (a little bit JAVA), QBASIC, GWBASIC, (A little bit Python but its simple..), PHP..

PHP has more frameworks and more CMS than ASP .Biggest challenge with ASP is security there are lot of known vulnerabilities in ASP,Huge COMMUNITY is around to help you.You can use #php in irc.freenode.net and .PHP is beautifully documented.
