I agree. Read a number of newspaper and books about themes that you like. I think it will support you.

It also helps to practice speaking English and listening to people speak English. Try talking to people you know who are fluent, listening to music in English, watching TV and movies in English.

A good book to read would be The Elements of Style by William Strunk Jr. and E. B. White.

i improved my english speaking by..
-learn and collect PHRASE... not 'word'
-listen english conversation/text with it's text.
-make more conversation in english.. practise make perfect.
-u must try to speak english eventough ur english is not very well.. becoz once u have speak it. u build ur confident.

Listen to english being spoken by mother tongue speakers (British, Irish, US Canadian Australian NZ etc.) The radio is very worthwhile. Tune into the BBC on line www.bbc.co.uk and try Radio 4 or the World Service as bothare predominantly spoken word channels. Good luck!
