The area of the cone is πrs and the base is πr² where r = radius and s = slant height. Therefore, the formula for the surface area of a cone is: πrs + πr². Plug and chug! SA = πrs + πr² SA = π(3)(27) + π(3)² SA = 81π + 9π SA = 90π cm²
