Describe an example of each of newtons laws and draw a diagram using vectors to represent it.
isnt there ten of them; newton goes up into the mountain and comes back with the ten laws of motion right?
?
no 3
:P
sorry laws of motion
lol forgot to write that part
my physics book was authored by a Goldstein :)
1. Inertia - object will continue moving with the same velocity unless acted on by a net external force
2. Sum of forces on a body equals the mass times acceleration -> or another way of saying it is that a net force will cause a mass to accelerate.
3. Every action has equal and opposite reaction ( not the best way of saying it , but good enough )
the pictures are easy , just think of being a bus or something and the driver puts the brakes on real fast
2. Very similar to the first one
how do i represent them as vectors
3. Draw like a block or something on the ground , force of block on ground = force of ground on block
just draw an arrow
so i represent everything using arrows right
and the length of the arrow should be proportional to the magnitude of the force or acceleration. In the picture for the third law the arrows should technically be the same length .
oh ok thanks :)
